3D Printing Workshop

Workshop Date: Saturday February 25th, 2023
Time: 10am – 2pm
Location: Hand and Machine Lab
G390, Farris Engineering Center, UNM Campus

The Hand and Machine Lab is hosting a free 3D printing workshop for kids ages 8-14. Come test out custom software and experiment with 3D printing in play-dough. The workshop is part of our ongoing research into unique ways for people to access 3D printing.

During the session, you will test out the PaperCut software and get to print your designs out in full color using a custom printable play-dough we have developed. No previous experience with 3D printing is necessary. Come play with us!

To sign up, have your parent fill out the form here: https://bit.ly/3jhFsWn

This work is part of a research project in our lab. We are investigating ways in which new technologies can support the creative practices of young people. We want to understand how custom software can help facilitate their use of computational design and digital fabrication tools. For this project, we are looking for youth ages 8-14 to participate in a one day workshop in our lab at the University of New Mexico.  For more information about the study, please contact:
