Alyshia Bustos

Alyshia Bustos is a Ph.D. graduate student in the Computer Science Department at the University of New Mexico, where she works in the Hand and Machine research group with Dr. Leah Buechley. Alyshia is the lead graduate student on the Interactive Mural project for Dr. Buechley and is working on new technology to teach and engage diverse youth in computer science. She is the president of the Women in Computing organization and Computer Science Graduate Student Association at UNM. She has worked in the technical computer science field for four years as a software developer. Her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree are in Computer Science which she received both from UNM. When she is not working her favorite hobbies are snowboarding and skydiving!
