Small Assignment: Final Project Updates

Design Progress:

After designing several basic patterns, I ran into a challenge because the extruded material would continue to flow out of the nozzle even though I set t.penup to stop it from extruding. Therefore, I needed to change my GCODE path to reduce its travel.

Progress Documentation:

This is the window pattern I designed using Turtle_library. There are too many paths inside it, which makes the final printing effect less than ideal.

Physical Object Prototype:

Another problem encountered was that the extruded material was too soft. When the nozzle was moved, it would collide with the already printed part, causing deformation.

Deliverables:

I will still try to print the window structure, but I may adjust the order of the paths. In addition, I will try other different shapes, which can be understood as some jewelry and decorative tools.

Timeline:

12.1.2024: Update new Tool path, and find new patterns which fit for the property of glass frit.

12.6.2024: Check and Test the final Printing work.
