Atah Omar Introduction

Hello everyone, I am Atah and I am a senior pursing my BS in CS. I will be graduating next spring. I am enrolled in this class because I have had friends in the past tell me this class was really fun and interesting, So I decided to take it. Some projects I find very interesting is pretty basic but it is architecture. Some of the craziest looking building that look like it shouldn’t be standing, is able to stand thanks to computational design. A really crazy building is Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG). “is globally acclaimed architecture firm founded in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2005. The firm is led by its founder and creative partner Bjarke Ingels and has a reputation for innovative design and sustainability. Their approach to design often blends elements of nature and technology to create unique, modern structures that are sustainable and liveable. It specialises in all kinds of projects such as Landscape, Engineering, and Architecture.

  1. Hey Atah,

I’ve always been baffled by the intricate design of building architectures. The more I learn about Physics/Engineering/Computational design, the more I appreciate the work that goes into creating buildings such as the one that you shared.

    Best,
    Daniel

  2. I totally agreed that architecture is one of the most inspiring and exciting applications in computational design.

  3. Hi Atah, that building is incredible. I especially like the incorporated greenery. I think computational design has a huge role in forward thinking as far as the architecture and landscape. I think it’s much easier to “picture it” once you have a visual of it.
    Thank you for sharing.
